Allow Changing Automatic Configuration Settings

You can access automatic configuration setting for Internet Explorer from Tools --> Options menu and go to connection settings tab. Automatic configuration will automatically configure your internet connection settings. If you want to protect your settings so others can not change it then you can add this registry tweak.

Step by step registry modifications:

1. Run regedit.exe
2. Find this key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel\Autoconfig] (If it doesn't exist just create it)
3. Set its value to 1. Use data type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
4. Close Regedit and restart your Internet Explorer.

Supports: IE v5.01 or above.
